Electricity leakage has come down to 7.49 percent

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has reduced the power leakage during distribution to 7.49 percent in the first five months of the current financial year (FY) 2079/80 BS. As a result of regular campaigns conducted for electricity supply and technical and non-technical leakage control, the authority has reduced the accumulated leakage during distribution by 1.74 percent this year compared to last year's December. Last year till December, electricity leakage during distribution was 9.23 percent. In the last financial year 2078/79 BS, the overall electricity leakage during distribution was 10.86 percent.

POKHARA, Jan 20: The recent plane crash of Yeti Airlines in Pokhara, which resulted in a large number of deaths, has had a significant impact not only on the loss of human life but also on the tourism industry. As many as 72 people, including 15 foreign tourists, died in the crash.
