PARSA, July 27: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said that an alliance should be made among the political parties so as to benefit the NC in the upcoming federal and provincial elections.

KATHMANDU, July 27: Today's hearing on the writ petitions  filed against 52 constitutional appointments made during the erstwhile KP Oli government has been postponed. The hearing was put off after the lawyers pleading on behalf of the defendants of the case - the office-bearers of the constitutional bodies - raised some questions.

KATHMANDU, July 26: Nepali Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Min Bahadur Bishwakarma has expressed his suspicion that the country may have gone down due to wrong statistics. MP Bishwakarma said this while participating in the discussion on the data bill presented by the government in the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, July 26: The Election Commission (EC) has revealed that over Rs 5 billion was spent for conducting the local level election held on May 13. The figure, however, does not include the expenses made by the security agencies, including the temporary police.
