National Vitamin 'A' campaign begins from today

KATHMANDU, April 19: The government is conducting a national vitamin 'A' campaign for children from today. Dr Bivek Kumar Lal, Director of the Family Welfare Division of the Department of Health Services, informed Republica that the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) is going to conduct a national vitamin ‘A’ campaign to provide vitamin ‘A’ and deworming medicine to children across the country today and tomorrow. He asked the parents to give vitamin 'A' and deworming medicine to the children through the nearby women community health volunteers.

Once the city of farmers and their fields, my hometown has now changed into a hive of brick kilns and plotting of land. With rapid population growth and commercialization, the city I once knew has been completely transformed and I believe that after 10 years maybe this place will be nothing but a concrete jungle.
