KATHMANDU, July 13: The House of Representatives (HoR) has passed the country’s first Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2022. In the meeting of the HoR held on Wednesday, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand presented Nepal’s first Citizenship Amendment Bill 2022 before the lawmakers.

Man killed by his own younger brother

BUTWAL, July 13: A man was killed after being struck by a stone thrown at him by his own younger brother during a loan repayment argument. The victim has been identified as Mahesh Bhar of Gaidahawa-1, Rupandehi.  He was hit by his own brother.

KATHMANDU, July 13: A fire broke out at Bhrikuti Mandap on the Exhibition Road,  Kathmandu Wednesday afternoon. According to the police, the fire broke out in the wheelchair warehouse of the locality.

Dhangadhi has been facing inundation for 39 years

KAILALI, July 13: Even during normal rainy days, social media is filled with the pictures of inundation in Dhangadhi. Pictures and videos of water-logged settlements are found on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites. Inundation and waterlogging has become a very complex problem in Dhangadhi since 2040 BS. This is confirmed by the data released by various organizations. The problem is getting worse every year as the bodies concerned are not ready to manage Dhangadhi, which has been facing the problem of inundation and waterlogging for the past 39 years.

BUTWAL, July 13: Three girls drowned in Lumbini on the same day. The deceased have been identified as Muskan Khatun, 5, from piprahwa, Lumbini Cultural Municipality-5, Rupandehi; and Jayanam Inariya, 3, from the same place, according to Inspector Deepak Kunwar from the District Police Office, Rupandehi.

Malnutrition on the rise in Lumbini
