While ‘neutrality’ itself is a sensitive issue in international relations, it becomes more sensitive in Nepal’s existing geo-strategic situation. What type of neutrality Nepal would pursue if there would be a cyber, geostrategic or physical battle among the three powers — China, India and the US — that could induce a geo-digital and geophysical effect in Nepal?

The planes that fly over our sky have passed their utility 10 years ago. The public buses that run in our cities eject smoke that cannot be penetrated by the brightest of light and for a moment we feel like a sudden burst of a solar eclipse has engulfed our environment.

Tech sovereignty is not only an eminent concern of developed and powerful nations, it is also a pursuit for small powers like Nepal. Nepal’s quest for tech sovereignty should be focused on tech interest and tech security;digital transformation and infrastructures; protecting and controlling data and information; and securing connectivity

From the very first moment when we open our eyes in this world till the time we take our last breath, we learn every day. For learning to take place, there is no need to have a defined place or institute. In fact, we can learn anywhere and anytime through different means. However, the skill and knowledge which is acquired outside the formal education and training system is not generally counted/credited. In our society, people who acquire competency through informal learning never get their skills recognized. This has created strata in society and divided us based on work/occupation.
