KATHMANDU, April 15: KatJazz Festival is set to return from April 22 to April 30, promising a captivating blend of contemporary music alongside Nepal's rich musical heritage, all threaded together by the universal language of Jazz.

Organized in collaboration with Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, Seen, and KGarira, and supported by Little Star Records, Spanish Embassy (Delhi), Goethe Institute, Goethe Zentrum-Kathmandu, Brazilian Embassy, UNESCO, UN WOMEN, Svana Studio, Bass and Treble, the festival, titled ‘The Jazz Trail to Kathmandu: Past Voices. Global Sounds. Future Harmonies,’ will traverse through musical intersections, promoting harmony and understanding in our dynamic world.

This year's lineup features an exciting array of international and local talent, including Juliana Rodrigues (Brasil), Ben van den Dungen Quartet (the Netherlands), Enji (Mongolia/Germany), Versados Despistados (Spain), Jhuma Limbu and Raithane Music (Nepal, Chile, Spain), Samyog Regmi and Co. (Nepal/Spain), and many featuring musicians like Tomás Carrasco, Moa Edmunds, Shree KC, Rajat Rai, Prajwal BK (Punku), Manice Gandharva, Jagannath Dhaugoda, Abhisek Bhadra, Sudhir Acharya, Santosh Bhakta Shrestha, Pushpa Palanchoke, and Prabin Lakhaju.

Spanning across iconic venues in Kathmandu such as Alliance Francaise, Jazz Upstairs, Dhokaima, Moksh, EDN, Yellow House, and Mandala Theater, the festival's events will commence at 7 pm daily.

Attendees can avail of a Full Festival pass at a discounted rate of Rs 5,000, with music students eligible for a reduced price of Rs 3,000. Additionally, music students can access individual events with a 50 percent discount. These passes are available online, at the venues, or at Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory's Jhamsikhel and Chabahil branches, providing entry to all 8 concerts.
