Maoist Center central office meeting decides to prepare for elections

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: CPN (Maoist Center) is preparing an organizational structure, policy and programs in view of local body elections scheduled to take place in mid April, the Maoist Centre said. 

Party central office meeting held today at Prime Minister and Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence in Lajimpat also decided to bring a plan of action targeting the elections. 

The meeting deemed the holding of local body elections to be crucial at this point of time and dwelt on setting the date for the elections within some days through consensus among major political parties, strengthening organizational structure of Maoist Centre and its focus on the elections, said Maoist Centre's Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal. 

"The meeting focused on the issue of party international organization. Number of politburo and future action plan were also discussed. It also discussed political scenario following the registration of the constitution amendment proposal and works of the government," said Bhusal, adding that the party politburo meeting to be held today will take a final decision on the conclusion of the meeting.
