Nirmal Bhattarai announces candidacy for chair of Naya Shakti

BHAKTAPUR, June 29: Naya Shakti Nepal Interim Council member Nirmal Bhattarai has announced his candidacy to the party chairperson. 

At a press meet in Bhaktapur Wednesday, he said he would vie for the party chair in the party general convention likely to be held within a year. 

The party's statute that came into force from Tuesday has the provision of a directly elected party chair. He said he would go on a nationwide campaign from today itself in view of the upcoming general convention. 

It may be noted Bhattarai was not given any portfolio in the allocation of province coordinators including three joint coordinators made by the party central secretariat meeting. RSS
