Tourism promotion program held in Israel

Tel Aviv, Feb 7: A tourism promotion program has been organized by Embassy of Nepal in Tel Aviv, Israel, in a joint collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board on February 6, 2017.

The program was conducted on the eve of International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM), the biggest tourism fair in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The program has intended to bring together travel and tour operators from Nepal which  can promote Nepal amongst Israeli travelers.

The program was inaugurated with panas lighting by Former ambassadors of Israel to Nepal Dan Ben-Eliezer and Hanan Godar, and acting ambassador of Nepal Embassy Rameswor Poudel.

Poudel, who delivered welcome speech and said that the relationship between Nepal and Israel will be strengthened after his program.

First Israeli mountaineer to climb Mount Annapurna 1 and Honorary Public Relations Representative of NTB, Nadav Ben Yehuda made a visual presentation about his journey of climbing Mount Annapurna 1 along with his future plans of working in collaboration with his Nepalese partners to reach out to more Israeli people.

Senior officer at Nepal Tourism Board, Surya Thapaliya said that Nepal is undoubtedly a very beautiful country to visit and its people are even more special. Many tourists remember and talk about the beautiful places and warm heart of Nepalis people.

Embassy of Nepal also felicitated Israeli couple who had lost their daughter in a tragic accident in Nepal who earlier had expressed anger and resentment towards Nepal.

However, they had finally decided to visit Nepal to explore how they feel about the country where they lost their daughter and came back to visit the country.
Embassy of Nepal had facilitated their visit.

Nepalese cultural dances were also presented in the event.

Speaking at the event, The guest honor of the program and former ambassador of Israel to Nepal Hanan Godar said that Nepal has always remained a good friend of Israel and Nepal was one place where Israeli could travel safely.

The program ended with thank you note from the first secretary of Embassy of Nepal, Harihar Kant Paudel.

Second secretary Astha Subba said “We have been organizing such tourism promotion program regularly and we do hope that such programs would get more Israelis interested in exploring Nepal.”
