The event will bring people together from all corners of society, where hundreds of women will share their stories, feelings or experiences. WOW Kathmandu is being organized to celebrate the moves forward in gender equality in Kathmandu and across Nepal, and have constructive conversations about the complex realities faced by women and girls.

WOW Kathmandu will include talks, debates, workshops, musical and art performance, mentorships sessions, a vibrant marketplace and much more. Debates will cover topics including women and power, women using technology to change the world; ending gender based violence and forced migration.

Theatre actor Loonibha Tuladhar, Safa Tempo driver Surya Kunwar, Stunt and bike rider Barsha Basnet are few of the speakers who will be giving bites and sharing their stories on the event. The festival will also feature some pop-up performances such as classical dances, self defense techniques, musical performances and other miscellaneous performances.
