KATHMANDU, June 10: Eighteen participants, who have been selected from the audition round of the Sprite 'Clear Bol' Challenge, will be facing each other in the grand finale taking place at Purple Haze in Thamel on Saturday, June 11.

Top five of them will then face rapper Yama Buddha to claim their places among the winners.

The 'Clear Bol' Challenge moved around nine cities in the country—Birtamod, Damak, Itahari, Dharan, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Pokhara, Hetauda, and Kathmandu—where around 50 candidates from each city showed up to give their performance at the auditions. The contest began on May 25, with the final auditions held in the Capital on Thursday.

According to the organizers, most of the participants were around 16 to 20 years of age. While participants showcased different talents like slam poetry, standup performance and speed poetry, it was beat boxing and rap that dominated the performances.

The organizers stated that they were pleasantly surprised to see the talent in the country and they're looking forward to seeing serious contenders in the finals.

At the finale, the contestants will be able to showcase their creativity and talent in front of the rapper. The audience will be able to vote for their favorite performance and their favorite 'Clear Bol' Challenger. Depending on their votes, as many as three contestants will be declared winners.

The winners will also get the chance to be featured in an original Yama Buddha rap song.
