KATHMANDU, April 29: Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri has visited Barakh battalion in Birgunj and has inspected the activities of the barracks on Saturday.

Earlier the day, COAS Chhetri visited Mid Division Army Headquarter in Makwanpur and 26 no. battalion office in Bhakundebesi of Kavre.

During his visit to all three places, COAS inspected the current activities, training activities, preparations and other tasks.

Addressing at Bhakundebesi, COAS Chhetri said that the NA is always ready to serve the country unselfishly and is highly motivated to protect the country and the people.

Earlier in March, COAS had visited the barracks in Dhanusha, Sarlahi, Saptari and Dhanusha to get information of the region.

The recent visit of the COAS to the Tarai-Madhesh-based barracks has been taken as the meaningful. The NA has started to analyze the current situation of the region in micro level and has approached the people of the region to coordinate with them in the region.
