KATHMANDU, May 24: Parliament meeting scheduled for 11 am on Wednesday has been postponed until 4pm on Thursday. As leaders from ruling and opposition could not develop a consensus on resuming House meeting despite holding several rounds of talks, Speaker Onsari Gharti postponed the Parliament meeting by publishing a notice.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who was all set to address the House meeting on Tuesday and announce his resignation from the same House rostrum, was on the same plan for Wednesday. However, he couldn't address the parliament as the UML decided to protest against the government decision to increase the number of local units and obstruct the House meeting.

Following the obstruction in the House, PM Dahal is likely to address to the nation from his office and announce his resignation. However, Manahari Timalsina at PM's Secretariat said that PM is still busy on meetings to end the House obstruction and things related to address to the nation are yet to be finalized.
