Inter school indoor cricket from May 30

KATHMANDU, May 25: Bhyagutey Productions Private Limited is set to organize Micromax Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament from May 30 to June 2. 

The organizers, at a press meet in the capital, informed that a total of eight schools from Kathmandu valley will take part in the tournament to be played in league cum knockout format at the Velocity Arena in Kathmandu. 

Participating teams will be divided into two groups with group A consisting of Ujjwal Shishu Niketan Academy, Niten Memorial Higher Secondary School, Premier International World School and Vidhya Sanskar School. 

Similarly, DAV School, API School, Green Laws Academy and Meridian International School are drawn in group B. Top two teams from each group will make to semifinals. 

According to tournament coordinator Rabin Joshi, league round and semifinal matches will be played for 12 overs while the final clash will be played in 16 overs. Joshi also informed that only U-16 players will be allowed to take part in the tournament. 

Organizer has fixed Rs 10,000 as registration fee for the participating teams. There are no cash prizes for winner and runner-up but they will be awarded with trophies the organizer said.
