REPUBLICA, June 19: Nepali mountaineer and ultra runner Sanjay Pandit died during climbing the mountain Denali Mountain in Alaska of United States of America (USA) on Sunday.
Nepali embassy in Washington DC confirmed Pandit’s death. Embassy’s spokesperson Jiwan Prakash Shrestha informed that Pandit was killed due to the bad weather in North America’s highest peak.
“We have already informed about Pandit’s death to his family. We are also preparing to send his dead body back to Nepal,” said Shrestha. Pandit who is hailed from Salyan, had climbed several mountains including Mt. Everest, Manaslu, Kilimanjaro, Elbrus.
