LAHAN, June 20: Nepali Congress treasurer and former minister, Sita Devi Yadav, has sent out an appeal to the agitating Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) Nepal to help make local polls a success citing its need to implement the constitution and defend the achievements.

At a programme held on the 17th Memorial Day of Chandra Narayan Yadav, former Chair of District Development Committee, Siraha here on Monday, the former minister noted that the poll date for Province no 2 was postponed to facilitate RJP Nepal's participation.

She also referred to the former government's failure to amend the constitution due to lack of two-third majority. She expressed her belief that the constitution will be amended after the second round of local polls.

"Now through Congress will there be a sustained development and prosperity, so it is necessary that Congress should win," Yadav added.
