KATHMANDU, July 18: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense, Bhim Rawal on Monday claimed that Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (Maoist Center) leaders ‘conspired’ to bring down the incumbent government in New Delhi.

“NC and CPN (Maoist Center) inked a seven-point deal following a meeting in the Indian capital. Then, a no-confidence motion was filed against the Prime Minister,” he said while speaking at an interaction at Reporters’ Club.

He added that the government will withstand the no-trust motion that was designed in the Southern neighbor.

Saying that an agreement was reached among major political parties to continue the government until parliamentary polls are held, Minister Rawal said, “The CPN (Maoist Center) that violated the agreement signed by it should not teach morality to UML.”

“Those willing for instability in the country are interpreting the Article 298 of the constitution on their own ways,” he said.
