DADELDHURA, June 24: With the second round of local level election round the corner, the election related activities have been intensified in the district.

The political parties participating in the election have been conducting election gatherings, rallies and door-to-door visits to woo the voters in their favours. The election candidates and the related cadres are making last ditch efforts to persuade the voters with their agenda.

Most of the parties have raised the development issues as their major agenda before the voters. "We're steeped into door-to-door election campaigning by prioritizing the development issues," said Kamala Bista, Vice-Chair candidate from Nepali Congress at Ajmeru rural municipality.

A total of 13 political parties have been registered in Dadeldhura. However, only eight among them are participating in the electoral competition.

As Dadeldhura is the home district of Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, NC has aimed of sweeping victory in all levels. However, the CPN-UML too has been making efforts to restore its history of the local body election of 2054.

Another important party CPN (Maoist Centre) is also striving to lure voters in its favour.

As the rural areas of the district have access to transportation, the election campaigning has been easy for the political leaders, candidates and the cadres.

The people from Amargadhi municipality are for voting the candidate which is capable to bring positive changes.

Chief returning officer Dev Kumar Giri informed that the election employees have reached all voting centres with ballot papers and ballot boxes.

Chief District Officer Janak Raj Bhatta urged all voters not to doubt security but cast vote in peaceful atmosphere.

The security situation in the district has been made effective, he added
