KATHMANDU: Nepal Eventwalas (NEW) organized Foodies Unite on Saturday at Trisara, Lazimpat in order to promote entrepreneurship and healthy competition between entrepreneurs.

Fund collected from the event will go to the Sadbhav Scholarship Campaign that aims at providing school materials for students of Kagati, Nuwakot. With the objective to provide a platform to emerging and established restaurants of the town, the event had arranged a recreational gathering for food lovers. A variety of 12 exquisite cuisines had been laid out for the visitors which included mo: mo, French fries, Korean and Mexican foods with a variety of cold beverages.

Restaurants including Achaar Ghar, Sarangi Vegetarian Restaurant, Darjeeling Mo:mo, The Bakery Café, Southern Comfort, Mama’s Curries, Shavi’s Fries, Hankok Sarang, Himalayan Bud, Shavi’s Fries, Ranjana Soda and Casa Mexicana had collaborated for the delicacies.

Foodies Unite also incorporated some quality music and fun games for entertainment. Performances by Swoopna Suman and Nattu Shah from The Arbitrary Group featuring SOS Band, Jyovan Bhuju, YouTube stars Roselyn Shrestha and Tashi Cheozum Lama along with the Accoustix Band kept the visitors enticed.

Though the event targeted foodies from every age group, a majority of youths made their lively presence at the event. The visitors thoroughly enjoyed the music and grooved in a few Nepali pop tunes even though the venue was drenched in rain.
