UML taking lead in Itahari Sub Metropolis

ITAHARI, July 3:  CPN-UML is  taking lead in Itarahi Sub Metropolitan City in the second round of local elections.

As of 2 pm on Monday, UML candidate Dwarika Lal Chaudhary is leading with 668 votes in the race for mayoral post. UML candidate Chudhary has secured 8, 989 votes while his closest rival of Nepali Congress Rohit Prasai got 8,321 votes.

Similarly, UML is also taking lead in the race for deputy  mayor. UML candidate Laxmi Gautam  is leading his closest rival of Nepali Congress Bimala Dhakal with 601 votes. Gautam got 8,515 votes while Dhakal is trailing with 7,914  votes.
