KATHMANDU, August 11: Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) has appointed Shambhu Nath Gautam as its new CEO. Issuing a statement, the commercial bank said that Gautam assumed new from Thursday.

According to the statement, Gautam, with banking experience of 30 years, has been with SBL for last 15 years. He has been serving as the Deputy CEO of the bank for the last 4 years.

“Remaining in various capacities, he has played a significant role in the growth of the bank,” the bank added in the statement. Meanwhile, SBL has opened a new branch office at Kamalbinayak of Bhaktapur.

Issuing a separate statement, the bank said that the office was inaugurated jointly by Krishna Prasad Awal, president of Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Shambhu Nath Gautam, the newly appointed CEO of the bank.
