Nepali cricket umpires in SEA Games

KATHMANDU, August 15: Nepali Cricket umpires Durga Nath Subedi and Buddhi Bahadur Pradhan are leaving for Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to officiate the matches in the 29th South East Asian (SEA) Games to be held from September 17-29.

This is the first time cricket has been included in the games with teams from host Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar competing in three events of Men’s 50 overs, Men’s T20 and Women’s T20.

Subedi and Pradhan who have been appointed as International Technical Official (ITO) would be officiating in the matches to be held at the Kinrara Oval Ground. Subedi and Pradhan are the members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Development Panel of Cricket Umpires. This is the first time Nepali cricket umpires have been appointed for the tournament.
