CNP launches 'One Minute for Conservation' program

CHITWAN, July 25: The Chitwan National Park (CNP) has launched an awareness program entitled 'One Minute for Conservation' from today.

The program was launched aimed at creating awareness for conserving the forest and protecting wild animals. The CNP has informed that the program was begun from Tikauli, adjoining point between Ratnanagar and Bharatpur of the district.

The program was organized by the CNP, the District Administration Office, the District Police Office, and the Nepal Army as it was initiated by the CNP, said information officer Nurendra Aryal. 

As per the program, vehicles drivers were stopped for a minute to aware them for the preservation of wild animals. The drivers were instructed to drive slowly and not to stop along the forest side adding that the forest was the dwelling place for the animals.

Different wild animals move along the corridor therefore, CC cameras were installed and being inspected there, said Chitwan police Chief Basanta Kunwar. RSS
