Some Rs 24 billion is necessary to deposit first installment of house rebuilding grants in the bank accounts of house owners eligible for receiving the grants. The amount will be released through the Ministry of Local Development and Federal Affairs.

A total of 533,168 house owners from quake-affected districts are in a list of those eligible for receiving Rs 200,000 announced by the government and 37,072 are already provided with the first installment.
