UDAYAPUR, Sept 27: The District Administration Office (DAO), Udayapur, on Tuesday established a fund for three orphans whose mother had died during delivery in a hospital.

Bhima Danuwar, 38, of Chaudandigadi Municipality-9 died during the course of her delivery in the hospital. After the protest staged by the family members and relatives, the hospital administration agreed to establish a fund worth Rs 270,000 in the name of the three children.

According to the relatives and locals, Bhima had died due to the careless of the doctors during her operation. In the beginning, the family members had refused to receive the dead body blaming the hospital for the death. “The fund has been opened to secure the future of the three children of late Bhima”, said section officer of DAO, Kumar Khadka.

Shrijana Danuwar, central member of the Association of International NGOs in Nepal and the relatives of the deceased were handed over the fund on Tuesday.  Shrijana had opened the fund account at the District Agricultural Development Bank in the name of three children.
