‘Aishwarya’ shows authentic city life

POKHARA, Oct 16: Actor Ramesh Upreti is soon turning producer with his upcoming movie ‘Aishwarya’. The movie is all set to across the country on October 26. 

Speaking at a promotional event in Pokhara on Sunday, Ramesh said the movie revolved around city life and its struggles. He added, “I have tried to capture the reality of our society in the movie. We have portrayed an authentic city life while also making sure that there is entertainment galore.”

He also shared that his dream to become a film producer had now been fulfilled after being involved in the film industry for more than a decade. Talking about the industry’s future Ramesh said, “When I was acting, we used to get Rs 5,000 as fees. However, these days the scenario has changed and the quality as well as budget of films have also increased. The actors are also being paid well. I see bright future of the Nepali film industry.”

Debutant actress Dipika Prasain is playing lead role in the movie. She said she was excited to be a part of the film, adding, “I’ve been receiving good response from the audiences who have seen the trailer and songs of the movie. I hope the movie does well.”

The movie is directed by Diwakar Bhattarai.
