Dahal and Chinese envoy hold talks

KATHMANDU, July 29: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Wu Chuntai, today held talks on latest political development in the country.

The Chinese envoy called on Dahal at latter's residence in Lazimpat and discussed the political scenario, prospect of formation of a new government and Nepal-China relations. 

Dahal briefed Ambassador Chuntai on the latest political development and shared his belief on the formation of a new government under his leadership.

The CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair said the new government would implement a new constitution, uphold political stability and continue peace process, reconstruction and development works, a statement issued by Dahal's Secretariat reads.

On the occasion, Chairman Dahal added that the treaties, agreements and understandings reached with the Chinese government by the outgoing government – in which CPN (Maoist Centre) had been a coalition partner – were results of the agreements held when he had become the first PM of republican Nepal.

He pledged to implement the treaties, agreements and understandings reached with Chinese government and also reach new agreements.

On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Chuntai pledged full support of the Chinese government, Chinese Communist Party and Chinese people to the new government. 

He said the Chinese government would lend full support and backing for Nepal's development through the coming government. RSS
