KATHMANDU, July 30: Over 150 entrepreneurs and aspiring business minds participated in the 3rd Young Entrepreneurs Summit Women (YESW) held in Kathmandu on Friday.

The summit, organized by Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs' Forum (NYEF), was aimed at promoting entrepreneurship among Nepali women. The summit works as a platform for the participants to share their stories, learn and network with like-minded individuals, according to the organizers.

Speaking at the program, Juna Mathema, chairperson of YESW 2016, said that she felt proud about the positivity that the event was able to create.

"This event gave a platform to the young women entrepreneurs of Nepal to showcase their businesses so as to ignite business ideas among the young women," she added.

The event rolled out with Australian sporting legend Katrina Webb delivering a powerful speech.

Participants of the summit listened to inspiring business journeys of eight women leaders, who spoke about the challenges of doing businesses in Nepal and how they overcame the difficulties. Special sessions were also held on social entrepreneurship, where the participants explored how to look beyond profit to benefit the society, according to the organizers.

On the occasion, Mahima Shrestha from MOP Communications conducted a workshop on 'Brand you' for the participants.
