Surunga, Jhapa, Nov 1 : A person was killed in an attack by a wild elephant at Satar Basti at Bhadrapur municipality-10 in Jhapa district. The victim is around 35 years old Durga Bahadur Katuwal of Bhadrapur Municipality-9. 
He was attacked by the elephant while driving away a herd of elephants that had come from the nearby Charali forest on Tuesday evening. Katuwal was critically injured when a wild elephant trampled him and he breathed his last in course of treatment at the Mechi Zonal Hospital, Bhadrapur, the District Police Office Bhadrapur stated.
