KATHMANDU, April 25: Speaker Onsari Gharti and her South Korean counterpart Mr Chung Eui-hwa had a meeting at the Legislature-Parliament building at New Baneshwor on Monday.
Issues related to strengthening relations between Nepali and Korean parliament were discussed in the meeting. They further discussed to strengthen bilateral relations at the level of people, said Gharti's press advisor Babin Sharma.
On the occasion, speaker Gharti praised the Korean support provided to the quake survivors and expected more support in the days ahead as well. She briefed her counterpart Chung that Nepalese had good response and wishes to the Korean people.
Similarly, Korean speaker Chung assured that he will talk to Korean government for more investment in Nepal as environment was favorable in Nepal for the same. He urged speaker Gharti to create investment friendly environment in the country, adding that Korea was willing to extend cooperation in the development of hydropower and energy sectors in Nepal.
In response to her counterpart's query, Speaker Gharti added that the government of Nepal and parliament were committed to ease the complexity seen in such developmental sectors.
Similarly, Korean Speaker extended the invitation to Nepalese Speaker Gharti for Korea visit in appropriate time.
Present on the occasion were the secretary- general at the Parliament Manohar Prasad Bhattarai, Secretary Mukunda Sharma, spokesperson Dr Bharat Raj Gautam among others from Nepalese side and a 21-member delegates from Korean side. RSS
