JAJARKOT, Nov 9: In a bid to prove that their candidates are better than that of their rivals, both left and right forces in Jajarkot are indulged in blame game. They have been trying their best to impress number of voters for the upcoming parliamentary and provincial elections by pointing out the weaknesses of their opponents.

The candidates had intensified their campaigns since the announcement of their nomination.  While making door-to-door visits, they don't just exaggerate their accomplishments but also manage time to inform about the failure of other parties.

According to Rajiv Bikram Shah, the candidate picked by Nepali Congress (NC) for the parliamentary election, CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) forged alliance with the intention of winning elections but NC's main purpose behind forming an alliance was to serve the people. He has been seeking votes with the locals by claiming that NC is the only party which is concerned about the welfare of the locals. He says his sole motive behind winning the elections is to work for the development of the people and he has no vested interest, unlike other candidates.

Similarly, CPN (Maoist Center) leader Shakti Bahadur Basnet, who has been fielded by the left alliance, has been trying to woo the voters by telling them how the party has been with the people in their good and bad times since decades. As stated by him, only the left alliance has the power to bring the facilities of the royal palace to the locals of Jajarkot. He claims that it is impossible to expect the NC to change the development scenario of the country.

With the date for elections drawing nearer, parties are competing to form the best strategies and agendas to persuade the locals. Ganesh Prasad Singh, a candidate fielded by the left alliance for the provincial elections from Jajarkot (a) has made all attempts to impress the voters. He has been telling the voters that the leaders and cadres of the left alliance have shed their blood and sweat for the emancipation of people and amendment of constitution.

Meanwhile, NC's candidate Dipak Jung Sahi has been repeating the same words in all of his campaigns that NC is responsible for the overall developments of the country. Jajarkot has ample prospects of development but other parties are unaware of it. So, people must vote for him if they want to feel the change, Shahi claimed.
