CPN-UML ward chairperson abducted by Biplav cadres

JAJARKOT, Nov 25: Cadres of Biplav led Maoists party has abducted newly elected ward CPN-UML chairperson of Jajarkot. The revolting Maoists, who have outcast the upcoming elections, abducted Gopal Nepali, chairperson of Kuse rural municipality-1 at 2 AM today from Syangri.

A local journalist opined that cadres of Biplav’s CPN-Maoists (revolutionary) had abducted Nepali along with other UML cadres after the latter were found to be engaged in election promotion.

Hari Chandra Jaisi, district coordinator of CPN-Maoist (revolutionary) said that the party was not involved in the abduction and allegations were being made to defame the party. On the other hand, Chandra Prakash Gharti, Jajarkot’s UML-secretary said that while Nepali’s cell phone was switched off, no information on abduction had come so far. 

DSP Bhawesh Rimal said that the district police office had deployed armed police to search Nepali along with those kidnapped.
