‘Blink of an Eye’ concludes

Shivata Love Foundation Nepal has organized a group painting exhibition called ‘Blink of an Eye’ by four artists from Finland from December 3 to 7 at Nepal Art Council, Babermahal.

Artists Meri Viljaharju, Nina Korvenoja, Misa Saraste and Karita Tolvanen are visual art students from Pekka Halasen Academy, Finland. They had come to Nepal a few months ago to experience Nepali culture. As much as 60 percent of the proceeds will go to Shivata Love Foundation.

Most of the paintings featured in the exhibit focus on the theme of expression and facial features such as emotions of children, women and men. About the exhibition Irma Tonteri, the participating artists’ teacher from Pekka Helonen Academy, said, "I am happy for my students as they were able to visit Nepal and exhibit their work in the country. This is an opportunity and a chance for them to learn."

The exhibition was inaugurated by Finland's Ambassador to Nepal, Jorma Suvanto.
