KATHMANDU3 Jan 14: Dr Govinda KC has ended his 14th hunger strike at 10:00 am today following a five-point agreement with the government Friday night. KC drank juice offered by a cobbler to break his hunger strike at TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.

Dr KC broke his strike after the agreement reached with a government team led by Health Minister Deepak Bohara.

The agreement includes forming a recommendation committee to give a complete shape to Medical Education Commission within a week and giving continuity to the appointment of IoM Dean Dr Jagdish Prasad Agrawal among others. 

Dr KC had begun his hunger strike demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice.
