Party leadership criticized in NC’s CC meeting

KATHMANDU, Jan 18:  Most of the members have criticized the party leadership during the ongoing central committee meeting of Nepali Congress.

Participating in the meeting, most of the members expressed their dissatisfaction over the naming of the provincial capital and the provincial chiefs. The meeting is focused on the election review.

Party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, however, tried to skip the review agenda for next meeting but the member raised the question over the weakness of the party leadership during the election of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly, informed one central member.

Another central committee member Deepak Giri criticized the government for not naming Dang as the capital of Province 5. Responding to his question, party President Deuba tried to defend the decision of the government citing that it is only the temporary capital. Likewise, some members accused the government of not making any discussion within the party before the appointment of the provincial chiefs.

Likewise, most of the member accused the party leadership of delay on calling the meeting of the central committee terming it as the failure of the party leadership.

The central committee meeting of the party is underway at Baluwatar. The faction led by Ram Chandra Paudel were demanding the meeting since long back.
