Preparation to register writ petition against Ex DIG Silwal for forged doc case

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Police have submitted an investigation report on the orged documents case of former DIG and UML Parliamentary member Nawaraj Silwal. 

Police have submitted the report on Wednesday morning at the government's attorney office, said Suryaraj Dahal, chief of the government attorney’s office. He said, “We have received the investigation report with suggestions. We look into it before filing the writ petition.

According to the source, the office of the government's attorney is preparing to file the writ petition against Silwas for his alleged forged document. 

The prosecutor has said whether to register the writ or not will be decided only after studying the report.

Giving its verdict on the forged document case, the Supreme Court (SC) had ordered the government to initiate action against Silwal concluding that the performance appraisal reports he had submitted to the apex court seeking his appointment as the chief of Nepal Police were forged.

DIG Nawaraj Silwal was accused of submitting doctored performance appraisal certificates to the apex court along with his writ petition.
