DAILEKH, Feb 25: A group of Raute community has recently shifted at the bank of Chham Ghat river of Kholi Bazar in Bhairabi Rural Municipality. The children pass their time playing at the bank of the river as they do not go to school because of traditional concept. They are suffering from malnourishment and have started consuming tobacco and alcohol imitating their parents.

Previously they used to live in dense forest whereas these days they settle temporarily in outskirts of the villages. They used to rely on forest foods whereas they have adapted habit of buying food from the market. The government provides Rs 2000 monthly allowance for individual Raute from their birth. They are a trendsetter for the changes.
