The two-day Uniglobe International Management Conference V on Recent Advances in Management: Challenges, Initiatives and Road Ahead (UIMC- RAM-2018) came to a conclusion at the premises of Uniglobe College in New Baneshwar, Kathmandu on Wednesday. 

The event came to an end with a valedictory session where the organizers thanked everyone who graced the event with their participation and shared their success to provide a platform to spread knowledge about various aspects of business management and expressed their belief that the event helped to bridge a gap between theoretical knowledge and practicalities.

Also in the valedictory session, international guests including Head Management Department in Mewar University (India), Professor Rajesh Bhatt; Prof Dr Md Saiful Islam from University of Rajshahi (Bangladesh); Head of Economics Department at Thorat College, Prof Dr Suhas Abhad (India); Assistant Professor of Management Studies in Ramachandra College of Engineering (India), Dr K Kalyan Chakravarthy; Post Doctorate Fellow at Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Dr Rachana Kumari (India); and Professor as well as Chairman of Marketing Department at Islamic University, Dr Md Zakaria Rahman (Bangladesh) as well as Conference Chair Prof Dr Radhe S Pradhan had addressed the event.

The session was followed by a panel discussion on Nepal’s economic relation with major neighbors where panelists, including former Minister and Nepali Ambassador for India and USA Dr Bhekh Bahadur Thapa, former Nepali Ambassador for China Tanka Prasad Karki, Formal Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Dr Tilak Rawal came to a conclusion that Nepal should work as a mediator between the two neighbors and focus on a trilateral relationship.    

The event saw the participation of more than 600 people from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Slovenia and Pakistan. More than 90 papers on different issues of management, banking, marketing, finance, human resources and corporate social responsibility were presented by different student groups in three different parallel sessions held in the two days.

Once the formal program ended, the participants enjoyed a cultural program conducted and performed by students of Uniglobe. 

Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank and Chief Guest for the event Dr Chiranjibi Nepal had inaugurated and addressed the event highlighting the need to deepen the understanding of management in all sectors. Special guest, Faculty of Social Sciences and Professor at University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) Dr Rado Bohinchas, attended the event as keynote speaker. 

The program was held in collaboration with Global College of Management with Fortune Institute of International Business (India) as academic partner.
