Canadian ‘high-profile’ arrested in Nepal on charge of paedophile

KATHMANDU, April 8: A Canadian ‘high profile personnel Peter Dalglish has been arrested from Kavre district on the charge of his involvement in paedophile.

Nepal Police has arrested Dalglish from Mandan Deupur Municipality-1 of Kavre district with two kids from his room.

A team deployed from Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has rescued two kids of 12 and 14 years sexually abused by Dalglish. It is believed that he is one of the high profile paedophile suspects.

CIB has informed that investigation is underway against 60 years old Dalglish who is founder of Himalayan Community Foundation working for poor and deprived communities since two years.

Police claimed that Dalglish tempting kids by offering aboard trip, better education and jobs as they grow.

Dalglish has received the CM, a Canadian national order which is the second highest honor conferred by monarch. He had worked to different UN agencies including UN-Habitat country representative for Afghanistan, anti-child labor project.
