KATHMANDU, April 20: Nepali national cricket team all-rounder Anil Kumar Sah has been signed by Singapore club SG Crimsons for the second edition of Singapore Cricket Association’s Elite Player Series. Sah also can shoe-in as a wicket-keeper if team requires. 

The T20 tournament, which will be played from May 1 to 5 at the Singapore Indian Association Ground, will feature three teams SG Crescent, SG Stars and Crimsons. 

Former CEO of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Bhawana Ghimire tweeted that the young Anil Sah has been roped in by SG Crimsons for the tournament.   “Great to see Anil Sah in a squad of Elite Player Series 2nd Edition 2018 from SG CRIMSONS going to be held in Singapore from 1st of May. Thank you Saad Khan Januja & @SingaporeCric,’’ she tweeted on Thursday. 

Sah was included in Nepal’s squad for the first time during the last round of the ICC World Cricket League Championship against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, he played his first match for Nepal in the ICC World Cricket League Division Two. Nepal qualified for the ICC World Cup Qualifiers after finishing as the runner-up in the division two.  Sah represented Biratnagar Kings in the second edition of the Ruslan Dhangadhi Premier League (DPL) and also was in the Nepali squad for the ICC World Cup Qualifier 2018 in March and helped his team secure an ODI status, the first in the nation’s history.
