RJPN splits in its anniversary, Ashok Yadav forms new party

A dissatisfied group of Rastriya Janta Party Nepal (RJPN) has formed a new party in its establishment day. RJPN vice-chairman Ashok Kumar Yadav has announced a new party named as Rastriya Janta Party (Loktantrik) today. 

NC CWC meeting postponed until April 22

Nepali Congress Central Working Committee has been postponed until April 22, today. The meeting was postponed after most of the central committee members are out of Kathmandu Valley, said Chief Secretary of NC Party Office, Krishna Prasad Poudel.

 ATC to operate 24 hours today to ease air traffic congestion

Following hours of delay after a Malindo Airlines skidded off the runway during takeoff yesterday night, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has decided to operate ATC 24 hours today to ease air traffic. The Malindo Boeing 737-900 was en route to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from TIA with 139 passengers onboard when it skidded around 100 feet off the runway. There were no casualties.

CIAA receives more complaints about education sector, local levels

Of the complaints that the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) received last year, charges relating to the education sector and local level outnumbered other sectors. According to CIAA spokesperson Dirgharaj Mainali, 1,526 complaints about education sector and 1,297 pertaining to local-levels were made at the CIAA that period (2074 BS). 

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger resigns
 
Arsene Wenger has stunned football by announcing that he will finally step down as Arsenal manager at the end of the season after 22 years in charge. The 68-year-old French man, who joined Arsenal from Nagoya Grampus Eight all the way back in 1996, has written an emotional statement to the club's fans, announcing his departure, offering them 'my love and support forever'.
