KATHMANDU, April 25: Five major student unions gheraoed the Department of Education Board, Bhaktapur for an hour demanding the implementation of Private Schools Fees Structure Directive-2015. 

“We are against the monopoly and excessive school fees in private schools,” RC Lamichhane, secretary of All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU) said. “This time, we will see to it that the Directive is issued.”  

All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU), Nepal Student union (NSU), All Nepal National Free Student Union-Revolutionary (ANNFSU-R), All Nepal National Free Student Union (Sixth), Nepal Revolutionary Student Union have decided to hold series of protest after a joint meeting on Tuesday. 

The student unions plan to stage protests throughout the country on April 27 with demands to scrap fee structures of private schools that are above the Directive.
