KATHMANDU, April 26: Photo Journalist Club Nepal (PJC) has unveiled the photo book named 'Nepal Land of Contrast-2016' on the occasion of 90th national photojournalism day on Thursday.

Dr Birendra Mahato, Vice-chair Fulkumari Mahato Memorial Trust, Pashupati Murarka, former Chairman of Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce, Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board, Janak Raj Sharma Poudel, Managing Director of Global IME, Hem Raj Dhakal, Bank Managing Director of IME Group, Govinda Acharya , Chairman of Federation of Nepali Journalist and Bikas Karki, Chairman of Photo Journalist Club, Nepal jointly unveiled the photo book. 

The photo book contains the best photos of Nepal Photo Contest-2073 on different genres including the Culture and tourism, Wildlife and nature, daily life, sports and other photo stories. 

The photo book has recognized the nation and the tourism and culture worldwide, according to NPJ

The National Photo Journalism Day has been marked with the various program in different places. 

Gorkhapatra first published the photo of ‘Charkha Dwara Dhago Katiraheko’ on April 26, 1927, with a caption of the photograph as “Aafna kapaska bagaichama Shree Chandra Kamdhenu charkha dwara dhago kati raheki barsa 12 ki Birgunj basne Surya Mati Shresthani”.

The photo was published on the third page of Gorkhapatra, in three and fourth columns under variety section “Shree Chandra Kamdhenu Charkha pracharka Kheti bibhag dwara prakashit kapas kehti ko sadharan suchana.”
