We’re selling four Cretas a day: Laxmi Intercontinental

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles for Nepal, said Friday that it is selling an average of four units of Hyundai Creta a day in the country.

The company says it has sold some 1,400 units of Creta across Nepal since it was first launched in September 2015 thus bringing the vehicle’s average daily sale to four units.
Laxmi Intercontinental officials say the Creta’s different segment-first features have made the SUV a highly-demand vehicle in its segment.

“Hyundai is already a popular brand. The Creta has become Hyundai’s best-selling vehicle for having a number of first-in--the-segment features and other rider-friendly features,” Awashis Ojha, senior marketing manager of Laxmi Intercontinental, told Republica, adding: “Selling 1,400 units of Creta in the last 11 months in domestic market is a milestone achievement for us.”

The Creta comes with a strong body structure, made with ultra high strength steel (UHSS) and advance high strength steel (AHSS), Laxmi Intercontinental says.
The SUV has a ‘Hive structure’ that denotes structural strength, stability and connotes sturdiness, it adds. The structure design, according to Hyundai, helps reduce side-impact damage and improves durability.

The 1.6-liter engine mated in the petrol variant of Hyundai Creta generates a maximum power of 128PS and the diesel variant generates a power of 123PS.

Other features in the Creta include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), reverse-parking camera, vehicle-stability management, hill start-assist control, front fog-lamps, and static bending lights, among others.

“Every element of the Creta is perfect to the touch, and every sound forms a perfect balance. There are plenty of other convenience features that will make our ride better, safer and more enjoyable,” Ojha adds.

Hyundai officials say that the soon-to-be-released Renault Duster and the Honda BR-V are the major vehicles competing with its Creta in the domestic market.
