KATHMANDU, June 20: Today's meeting of the Legislature-Parliament has been postponed for half an hour after Nepali Congress lawmakers demanded it.

Soon after Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel presented proposal regarding initiating discussion on topics of different ministries under ' Appropriation Bill-2073, NC lawmakers protested, saying district-level details of budget was not received.

On the occasion, Ramhari Khatiwada urged the Speaker not to proceed ahead with the House business, saying details of necessary description for ministry-level discussion were not received yet.

Although Speaker Onsari Gharti asked time and again the NC lawmakers to take their seats, the main opposition party lawmakers demanded postponement of the meeting for necessary discussion with the government.

Stating the Parliament Secretariat has deposited district-level details related to budget into pigeonhole of lawmakers, Speaker Gharti made repeated calls to proceed the business while NC Chief Whip Chinkaji Shrestha urged to hold discussion even after postponing the meeting only for half an hour.
