Teacher arrested for murder in Doti

DOTI, June 20: District Police Office, Doti has arrested one Lal Bahadhur Chand for allegedly murder of Mina Saud.

Sources said that after an investigation, police arrested Chand. However, officials at the police office declined to confirm the arrest.

Mina was shot dead on June 10 while she was cooking noodles in her kitchen.

Police had failed to arrest murderer immediately.

But after an investigation, police arrested Chand who is a teacher at Harihar Higher Secondary School, Talkot with a pistol.

 But police are yet to confirm his arrest.

“We are at the last stage of investigation. We have arrested a guy, however we are yet to confirm his involvement in the murder. Last verification will be done tomorrow. Everything will be confirmed by Thursday morning,” said Superintendent of Police (SP) Dilliraj Bista of District Police Office, Doti.

Arrested Chand used to live in the house of the deceased.

Reason behind the murder is still unknown.
