KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Arrangements have been made for a round-the-clock security operation in the New Bus Park area, Gongabu in view of the upcoming festivals.

Security in the Bus Park area has been beefed up to avert any untoward incidents such as robbery and other abusive actions toward commuters during the festivals, the Metropolitan Police Sector, Gangabu's Police Inspector Purnima Chand said. 

The Sector has requested public transport passenger(s) going home for the Dashain and Tihar festivals to inform it if they are overcharged in the fare.

Likewise, over 15,000 people have booked bus tickets from the Bus Park area-based counters to go home during the Dashain. The ticket booking was opened Friday and so far over 15,000 people have acquired tickets, it is learnt. RSS
