Korea-Nepal exchange program kicks off

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: A week long 'Korea-Nepal Exchange Program' has started from Tuesday in Kathmandu.

During the program, participants from Korea and Nepal will exchange ideas on local communities, education and youth, among other subjects.

The organizers--Seoul City Village Support Center and PUM Korea--informed that the week long program will also deliberate on sustainable development in various sectors in both countries.

Han Ki Shim, chief of PUM Korea, said that the program will be helpful for understanding the culture, education and arts of both countries. 

Kim Jong Wook, of Seoul Metropolitan City, said that the program would help foster close relations between Korea and Nepal. He is in Nepal to take part in the program along with his 17-member team. The Nepali youths from Ramechhap, Solukhumbu, among other districts, are also participating in the program.
