CAAN bans Samsung Galaxy Note 7 during domestic flights

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), a regulatory body of the aviation of the country, has banned to carry Galaxy Note 7 mobile sets during domestic flights operated by airlines companies on Thursday.

Following the decision of the CAAN, Buddha, Yeti, Tara and Simrik airlines companies forbade the passengers to carry the Galaxy Note 7 mobile sets during flights.

The letter signed by Captain Dipak Kumar Lama, a branch manager of the flight section of the CAAN, states that the passengers are forbidden to carry Galaxy Note 7 Mobile sets during flights.

No mobile sets can be switched on and off during the flights, further reads the letter.

The CIAA has taken this decision in view of the security of both the passengers and CAAN.

Bhimraj Rai, Marketing Manager of the CAAN, said that the Tara Air and Yeti Air have banned to carry Samsung Galaxy Note 7 during flights following the decision.

The international airline companies had already banned this phone after this  mobile set exploded during flights.
