Thai-Nepal Festival kicks off in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Oct 1: The Thailand-Nepal Friendship Festival has kicked off here from Friday. 

The Festival is jointly organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Nepal, Nepal-Thailand Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Lalipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) so as to promote Thai products among Nepali consumers. 

The Festival is also exhibiting wide array of items including leather goods, plastic products, garments, food items, cosmetics, healthcare and construction products put by more than 150 business firms and enterprises from Bangladesh and Pakistan besides Thailand. 

Inaugurating the Festival, Deputy Thai Ambassador to Nepal Ek-att Thitaram expressed his confidence that the event would be successful in further promote trade relations between Nepal and Thailand. 

Thailand is one of the Nepal's largest trading partners. 

He was also of belief that the Festival would help expand the market for Thai products in Nepal and 

Similarly, Thailand-Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ajay Kumar Mudbhari and LCCI President Sabin Shrestha explained that the Festival aims to motive Nepali entrepreneurs who are willing to export their products to Thailand.
